ABOUT - IMPORTANT PLS READ!!!

In "Lurker's Hallway," you’re stuck in a twisting corridor filled with eerie sounds. As you try to find your way out, something is chasing you, always just behind. 

The strange thing is, if you look back at it, it stops in its tracks, frozen by your gaze. Do you have the courage to turn around and buy yourself some time, or will fear make you run blindly down the dark halls?

Collect gems to unlock your escape through one of the doors. Stay sharp, keep looking back, and find a way to escape the lurking terror!

CONTROLS AND RULES

• WASD to move, Shift to sprint
• Mouse to look around
• Collect a total of 30 gems and search for the green door to be able to escape the endless hallway
• Every 5 gems collected will give the player a speed boost
• Every 15 gems collected will slow down the enemies for a certain amount of time buying the player more time to get away from the enemy
• After a total of 30 gems have been collected the exit door will unlock. The player must search for this green exit door and exit

THEME

This game was made for the BYOG 72 hour GameJam following the theme "Evolving Abilities". The player's abilities evolve as they progress through the game. 

Initially, survival relies only on movement and awareness. However, as the player collects gems and navigates the maze-like halls, they unlock new abilities, such as temporary speed boosts or ways to slow down the pursuing enemy. 

These evolving powers gives the player more tools to escape while maintaining the tension of constantly being hunted.
